Individual Psychotherapy

Finding the right fit for therapy can be overwhelming. There are so many approaches out there that knowing what will actually be helpful and where to start can be a challenge. But whether you’re feeling anxious, disconnected, dissatisfied, or overwhelmed, I’m here to help. If you’re looking to discover what’s actually at the root of these feelings, where they come from, and what needs to happen for those feelings to start to transform, then I’m here to explore that with you.

How does it work?

I believe that therapy is not a quick fix. Rather, uncovering the ways we have developed patterns of thinking and behaving, and then introducing new patterns, takes time. Therapy is a place where you can explore what holds you back while having a supportive presence there with you to get curious, ask questions, and offer new perspectives or insights.

By practicing putting our thoughts and feelings into words, we can start to uncover what has previously remained hidden from our conscious awareness, and we can begin to tease apart where those thoughts and feelings come from, as well as all the ways those thoughts and feelings have created limiting ways of being. It can sometimes be scary or unsettling to be with these, but therapy offers a space where you don’t have to be with those difficult experiences alone. ut w

Together we will also practice bringing more awareness to what is happening in both your body and your nervous system. Doing this allows us to gain more understanding about what is going on in moments when we start to feel intense emotions and how to get ourselves in a more calm, relaxed, and present state.
